Membership in ANI includes a subscription to the newsletter,
Our Voice. The cost for four issues of Our
Voice is $15 in the U.S., Canada, or Mexico, $20 overseas,
payable in U.S. funds.
Our Voice is
published intermittently, on no particular schedule; the fee covers
four issues, however long it takes for that to happen. An online subscription form is available.
Other services of ANI include:
a penpal directory for autistic people and people with related
developmental neurological abnormalities (for example, hydrocephalus,
Tourette syndrome, Williams syndrome). People who are able to
correspond independently may receive the full penpal directory. People
who need to have someone else help them with correspondence will
receive a directory containing only other people who also receive
assistance with correspondence. However, their information will still
be included in the full directory, along with a notation that they use
assisted communication, so that independent communicators who do not
mind having a third party see their mail will be able to write to
them.
an Internet discussion list called ANI-L , which is open
to autistic people, family members, and friends. For information about
this forum, send an electronic mail message to listserv@listserv.syr.edu. The body of the message should read subscribe
ani-l your name.
You will receive a message from the forum managers about
forum policies and instructions for
subscribing.
a speaker referral service for individuals and organizations wishing

envelope with a request for a speaker information packet or a referral
request form. Only people with a formal diagnosis of autism, PDD, or
